WHat is mbm?

MBM is a LIVE virtual bi-weekly group mindfulness and somatic mentorship during the month of March that provides a safe space for spiritual growth, nervous system regulation, and embodied wisdom to arise. It PAIRS a top-down approach (mindfulness + meditation) with a bottom-up approach (think movement and breathwork) to release blockages, rewire your nervous system, and reconnect to your true self.

mbm origin story

The last few years rocked me and my nervous system. Dissociated and utterly exhausted, I felt so far from the REAL me. If you're reading this, you likely got a front-row seat to my breaking point. But that also means you've had a front-row seat to my evolution. I was challenged in what feels like allll the ways, but the straw that broke this camel's back was my daughter's severe rapid onset illness(s) that led to recurrent hospitalizations with no answers. Lost with no roadmap back home, I followed my intuition, which led me to the women and teachers in my life who made me feel whole (thank god for them!!), and found myself more deeply invested in studying mindfulness, breathwork, and yoga. Almost a full year later, these practices and teachings equipped me with new tools to regulate my nervous system, restore my embodied wisdom, and connected with the REAL HER daily.

why mentorship?

A mentorship program means that although I'm here to guide, I'm not the teacher with all the answers. I created MBM believing that we are each our own teachers. This program didn't come from a holier-than-now place but rather from the humble place that knows life is hard. We're all facing challenges, and we need each other to not only regulate but also grow and ultimately connect to our body's wisdom again. While I have previously shown up online as a teacher, here, the structure will focus on being an active listener and guiding by sharing my wisdom and experience, but ultimately shifting into what the community needs as it arises.

Why the Nervous system emphasis?

Our nervous system (NS) determines the quality of our lives. It's incredibly sensitive to detecting danger and keeping us away. But, when disregulated, it inaccurately detects danger, keeping us alert and vigilant, rather than at ease in our bodies. When the NS is regulated, we feel safe, whole, and VIBRANT! We can connect with our higher selves and the universe.

Who's MBM for?

+ those willing and wanting to connect to their body's wisdom and make life changes to reflect that

+ those looking to support their nervous system through meditation, journaling, breath, and movement

MBM does not:

+ replace therapy of any kind

the structure

On Mindfulness Mentorship Tuesdays, we'll meet on Zoom to dive deep into a mindfulness topic. There will be guided meditation, journaling, intimate break out rooms, large group sharing, and a q+a. I'll be mentoring and guiding, but you, the mentees, will ultimately decide where we go together!

On Somatic Ceremony Sundays, we'll meet on Zoom on our yoga mats to move to find physical alignment and open up our energetic channels, but leave room for intuition and individual expressions.
