I’m excited to share this AMAZING whole roasted cauliflower recipe as my first one in a while!

Ever since this one made a splash on TikTok, so many of you have been making it. I’ve been making this recipe for over 5 years, and yet it isn’t on the site — let’s change that!  

I do have whole roasted buffalo cauliflower on here, but this is the simplest version that you can call on for nights you need an easy, delicious, meal. 


Feel free to spice it up with whatever you like! We love Israeli ingredients like zah-tar and harissa on top of the salt I use here. 

This whole roasted cauliflower recipe idea comes from Eyal Shani, best known for his restaurant MIZNON. He’s the one who figured out how to make whole roasted cauliflower — the right way. and trust me, once you make it this way you will see there’s really only one way to do this. The inside should be soft like butter — no knife required.

PERFECT WHOLE ROASTED CAULIFLOWER RECIPE

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole head cauliflower
  • olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Preheat water and submerge cauliflower face down.
  3. Bring water to a boil until soft (25 minutes or so).
  4. Place cauliflower on a baking tray and coat with olive oil + salt
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 degrees, or 425 degrees to make it crispier.
  6. Option to drizzle tahini.
